One of the most popular tools for leatherworkers is the cutting/skiving knife. My knife is custom-made by Alexandr Byvaltsev. It consists of two main parts: the blade and the handle. The handle is made of solid mahogany, brass, and screw fixing the replaceable blade. The design allows you to hold this knife like a pencil, cutting curved lines and complex pattern knots. The blade goes along the entire length of the handle and is designed for continuous use and frequent sharpening. Thanks to the interchangeable blade of the knife, it is possible to work with single-sided and double-sided sharpening "at the same time".
